This option compares a child with both of an alleged father's parents when the mother's sample isn't available. Using both grandparents gives a more conclusive result than a single grandparent, though including the mother (when possible) is stronger still.

This is a private, peace-of-mind test. Results are reported as a relationship likelihood and it is not chain-of-custody or admissible in court.

Frequently asked questions

Is this as accurate as a paternity test?
Grandparentage is an indirect estimate, so it is generally less conclusive than a direct paternity test. Including both grandparents and, where possible, the mother gives the strongest result.
Can I use the result legally?
No. It is for personal information only and is not admissible in court or for immigration.
